Create an impressive, established evergreen hedge with our 10x Extra Large Green Leylandii Hedging Trees, supplied as magnificent 6ft tall specimens, each established in its own individual 3 litre nursery pot. Renowned for their exceptionally fast growth, attractive rich green foliage and outstanding screening ability, these premium evergreen conifers are perfect for instant gardening, immediate privacy and creating a mature, established garden effect.
Green Leylandii is one of the UK's most popular and dependable evergreen hedging plants, offering an excellent solution for gardeners and landscapers looking to establish tall, dense, year-round screening. With their naturally upright growth habit and vigorous development, these impressive trees can quickly transform open boundaries into attractive green hedges, providing additional privacy, shelter and structure.
Unlike smaller starter hedging plants, our Extra Large 6ft specimens provide substantial height from the moment they are planted. This makes them particularly desirable for customers looking to create an instant hedge, screen neighbouring properties, define garden boundaries or introduce established evergreen greenery without waiting years for smaller plants to develop.
Throughout the seasons, Green Leylandii maintains its beautiful dense, rich green evergreen foliage, creating an attractive natural backdrop for gardens, patios, lawns and landscaped areas. Its fast-growing nature makes it especially suitable for longer boundaries, larger properties and planting projects where establishing privacy is a priority.
With regular trimming, Leylandii can be maintained as a smart, compact and attractive evergreen hedge at the required height and width. Its vigorous growth allows plants to fill out and develop into a dense, continuous screen when planted at suitable spacing.

Spring: Fresh green growth develops as temperatures increase, helping established trees produce vigorous new shoots and encouraging hedges to fill out.
Summer: Dense, rich green foliage provides attractive screening, privacy and natural shelter throughout the warmer months.
Autumn: While surrounding deciduous trees begin losing their leaves, Leylandii retains its evergreen foliage and continues providing excellent garden structure.
Winter: Green Leylandii remains evergreen throughout the colder months, maintaining valuable privacy, screening and boundary definition all year round.
Position: Full sun or partial shade. Suitable for a wide range of UK garden locations.
Soil: Prefers fertile, well-drained soil but adapts to many typical garden soil conditions. Avoid permanently waterlogged ground.
Planting Distance: For a dense evergreen hedge, approximately 1–2 plants per metre is commonly used, depending on the desired density and planting conditions. For these extra large 6ft specimens, spacing towards the wider end can be suitable where sufficient branching and coverage are present.
Watering: Water thoroughly immediately after planting and continue watering regularly throughout the first growing season, particularly during dry or windy weather.
Growth Habit: Naturally upright, vigorous and fast-growing evergreen conifer. Under favourable conditions, Leylandii can produce substantial annual growth once established.
Maintenance: Trim regularly to encourage a dense, well-shaped hedge and maintain the desired height and width. Avoid cutting heavily into old brown wood, as Leylandii may not readily regenerate from this growth.
Support: Taller newly planted specimens may benefit from temporary staking in exposed locations while their root systems establish.
