A well known stunning specimen tree, known as the common silver birch, has delightful dark green foliage on slightly arching branches, however is mainly grown for its white-grey coloured, decorative bark which come with maturity. A very easy to grow tree which can be grown in full sun or semi shaded positions, ideal planted as a border tree, or can be used as a hedge / windbreak.
