Planting your Portuguese Laurel rootball trees is quick and effective:
Dig a trench or hole wide and deep enough to accommodate the rootball
Space at 1 or 2 trees per metre for an instant screening effect, exactly as shown in our imagery
Place the tree in the hole with the hessian sack still on – this decomposes naturally and helps retain root structure
Backfill with soil, firm gently, and water thoroughly
Continue to water regularly during dry spells to support strong root establishment
Rootball hedging trees are grown directly in open ground and then carefully lifted with a solid mass of roots and soil, wrapped in biodegradable hessian.
